The 5K run and 1-mile walk will begin at 8 a.m., with a Kids’ Dash taking place before the race.
New this year, all finishers will receive a commemorative finisher medal. Trophies will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers.
Registration for the Kids’ Dash is $15. Registration for the 5K run and 1-mile walk is $25 through Sept. 24. Teams of 10 participants receive a $5 discount per registrant.
Participants are encouraged to register early to secure their T-shirt while supplies last.
Booths and informational tables will be set up throughout the event to provide the community with health resources from local organizations and vendors.
Net proceeds from the event will benefit UMC’s Sobreviviendo/Surviving Cancer Program, which helps cancer patients who are at risk of failing to adhere to their treatment plans because of financial hardship.
