EL PASO, TEXAS — December 1, 2025 — Surrounded by her Scherr Law Firm team, Maxey Scherr received the Brain Injury Association of America’s (BIAA) Legal Champion award at their annual Luminary of the Year Gala held at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
The Legal Champion Award is a prestigious honor that recognizes one Legal entity a year across the United States for their efforts to raise awareness for the brain injury community. Honored by this award, Scherr Law Firm plans to continue supporting the mission of the BIAA by educating and raising awareness for those affected by brain injury.
“The BIAA is the most prestigious entity of its kind, whose mission is to advance brain injury awareness, research, treatment, and education to improve the quality of life for all people affected by brain injury. It has been an honor of the grandest form to be recognized by the BIAA.” Scherr said.
The entire team at Scherr Law Firm was honored in D.C. for their work and contributions to the brain injury community.
Most notably, they hosted an original event, called The Night Before Fright, which raised funds to help support critical programs such as research grants, advocacy on Capitol Hill, free education for survivors and caregivers, and nationwide support services such as the National Brain Injury Information Center.
