The Las Cruces Space Festival invites artists from all backgrounds to share their creativity

among the stars. This year’s theme is “Space Unites Us.” The festival’s annual Art Show,

one of its most anticipated traditions, will return this fall, showcasing works by emerging

and established creators inspired by the wonder of space exploration.

This year’s show will feature student artwork from the festival’s 2026 poster contest. Nearly

100 young artists from Conlee, Dona Ana, Tombaugh, Columbia, and University Hills

elementary schools, along with Organ Mountain High School, submitted pieces celebrating

the theme. The winning design, created by 10th-grader Susan Crosier of Organ Mountain

High School, earned a $100 award and is featured on the oXicial festival poster. All student

entries will appear in the exhibit.
