The 47th Annual Great American Duck Race in Deming, New Mexico takes place from August 20–23, 2026. The official theme for this year’s event is “Outdoor Duck – Racing to the Great Outdoors!”
For nearly five decades, the Great American Duck Race has been a signature Deming tradition, welcoming visitors from across New Mexico and neighboring states for a weekend filled with entertainment, food, community spirit and, of course, fast ducks.
Each year, the Great American Duck Race Board works to improve the festivities, introduce new experiences and continue growing this beloved tradition for residents and visitors alike.
