Slim Chickens to Open New Restaurant April 20th in El Paso, Texas
The new location will create approximately 85 jobs and marks the fifth Slim Chickens restaurant for franchise group Desert Slims.
EL PASO, TX — Slim Chickens, the 300-plus-unit fast-casual franchise known for its hand-breaded chicken tenders, 14 flavorful dipping sauces and warm Southern hospitality, will open its newest restaurant on April 20th, 2026, at 3152 N Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79938.
The new restaurant marks the fifth Slim Chickens location operated by franchise group Desert Slims, which has owned and operated Slim Chickens restaurants in neighboring New Mexico for more than four years.
The El Paso restaurant is expected to create approximately 85 local jobs, including both hourly and management positions, while bringing the brand’s signature tenders, sandwiches, wings and housemade sauces to guests across El Paso and surrounding communities.
For Desert Slims, expanding into El Paso represents a natural next step after building successful Slim Chickens locations in New Mexico.
