El Paso Families Encouraged to Take Part in Free Car Seat Safety Event
El Paso, TX – September 23, 2025 – El Paso families are invited to take part in National Seat Check Saturday on Saturday, September 27, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Fox Acura El Paso, 7772 Gateway Blvd. East. Certified child passenger safety technicians (CPST) will be on-site to provide free car seat checks, helping parents and caregivers ensure their children are safe on the road. If a CPST determines that a new car seat is needed, a new car seat will be provided for free along with installation and harnessing instructions.
This family-friendly event will feature activities and entertainment throughout the morning. Walk-ins are welcome between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m., though space is limited. To receive a check, children must be present, but expectant mothers in their third trimester are also encouraged to attend.
Hosted by the El Paso Regional Car Seat Partners, this initiative is part of a national effort to raise awareness about child passenger safety and to provide hands-on education to families. The event offers media an opportunity to capture compelling visuals of technicians demonstrating proper car seat installation, families engaging in safety checks, and community organizations working together to protect children across the region.
