El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Delivers Emergency Water Relief to Northeast El Paso Neighbors Following Major Water Main Break
El Paso, TX — When a major water main break left thousands of Northeast El Paso neighbors without running water, El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank mobilized immediately — delivering 32 pallets of bottled water to affected areas late last night, with additional deliveries continuing throughout the day.
This rapid response was made possible by the strength and generosity of the El Paso community.
“The reason we can show up in moments like this is because this community shows up for us every single day,” said Kris Yagel, CEO of El Pasoans Fighting Hunger. “When neighbors give — whether it’s a donation, time, or trust — that support becomes water on the table, food in the pantry, and hope in the middle of a crisis.”
EPFH teams worked through the night and remain on the ground today, prioritizing access for families, seniors, and medically vulnerable neighbors who need safe drinking water during the disruption. Emergency response is a critical part of EPFH’s mission to nourish the community — not just in times of hunger, but in moments when basic needs are suddenly out of reach.
As infrastructure challenges and emergencies continue to impact our region, EPFH remains committed to standing with neighbors — meeting urgent needs with dignity, compassion, and care.
