El PASO, TX (August 6, 2024) — La Nube, El Paso’s highly anticipated premier STEAM discovery center, will officially open its doors to the public this Saturday, August 10, 2024. A public celebration will be held on Main Street from 10am to 4pm. This monumental occasion marks the culmination of years of dedication and collaboration, bringing to life a visionary project poised to enrich the lives of the those in the El Paso Borderplex and beyond. All Main Street celebration activities are free.

The festivities on Main Street will start with an official ribbon-cutting at 10:00am. Leadership from La Nube, the El Paso Community Foundation, and the City of El Paso, along with numerous stakeholders, will be in attendance. Live stage entertainment featuring area youth will include Kids Excel, Ballet Folklorico Churuhui Paso Del Norte + Mariachi, Loretto Academy Show Choir, Ysleta Del Sure Pueblo Dance Group, El Paso Youth Jazz Orchestra, Tocando Music Project, Desert Eagle Dance Production, and LAT Studio. The last stage performance of the day starts at 3:15pm. La Nube will host exciting outdoor science demonstrations and El Paso’s favorite mascots will be working the festivities for photo opportunities and selfies. Food trucks will be onsite for those who wish to purchase culinary delights.

For those who want to visit the wonders of La Nube, guests can purchase tickets online at https://la-nube.org/visit-us/day-tickets. Due to the excitement of the opening, La Nube anticipates high demand for admission. For this reason, La Nube encourages guests to purchase tickets online in advance. Ticket prices range from $14 for children and $18 for adults, with senior and active-duty discounts available. La Nube will operate with hourly, timed-entry tickets and requires that guests reserve a time to enter. Once guests enter La Nube, there is no time limit for enjoyment of the center. Guests are welcome to stay until La Nube closes. Operating hours on Saturday, August 10, 2024 will be from 11am to 5pm. The media is invited to cover the event on Main Street. One-on-one media interviews with La Nube leadership can be coordinated with Mick Martinez, Director of Marketing and Communications at La Nube, after the ribbon-cutting at 10am. In order to maintain La Nube’s capacity for guests, and to ensure they are able to explore La Nube safely and comfortably, the media will not be invited into the center after the ribbon-cutting.
