El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank is delighted to share the news of a substantial contribution from Lions Club International (LCI) District 2-T3. This esteemed organization has generously funded a tractor-trailer that will serve as a vital mobile pantry dedicated to addressing food insecurity in underserved areas of our community. This project was made possible through the cooperation of Lions Clubs International Foundation.
As the primary food bank serving El Paso, Hudspeth, and Culberson counties, El Pasoans Fighting Hunger recognizes the critical need for innovative solutions to reach every corner of our expansive service area. The mobile pantry provided by Lions Club International District 2 T3, in collaboration with Lions Clubs International Foundation, will enable us to bridge gaps and deliver essential nourishment to areas where traditional food bank services are not readily accessible.
“As Lions, it’s our responsibility to understand and tackle crucial community issues. Supporting projects like this not only provides immediate help but also ensures long-term benefits for our community,” stated Patsy Achim, District Governor of Lions Club International District 2 T3.
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony for this invaluable donation will take place at 3:00 PM on Friday, April 26th, at the American Legion Post 36, located at 3730 Shell St., El Paso, Texas 79925. Following the ceremony, the LCI District 2-T3 will host a food distribution event at 3:30 PM, ensuring that vital nourishment reaches those who need it most.
LCI District 2-T3’s inclusion of a food distribution highlights their commitment to the El Paso community. Collaborating with us directly makes a meaningful impact on the lives of local residents facing food insecurity.
We are deeply grateful for Lions Club International District 2 T3’s support. Their generous donation will significantly enhance our ability to serve individuals and families in need throughout our area, and we cannot thank them enough for their commitment to our community.
