Fridays just got more fresco as the beloved outdoor music series formerly known as Alfresco! Fridays makes a triumphant return this year with a fresh new look and feel. Introducing El Fresco Music Series – a free, monthly, summer music event held at the Convention Center Plaza in Downtown El Paso.
Making its return on May 10, El Fresco promises a sizzling summer of entertainment. Each month will showcase a different musical theme featuring a fun, diverse array of local musicians and talent from 7 pm – 10 pm. From Latin beats to funky rhythms, country tunes to rock classics, there’s music for all to enjoy in the family-friendly series with two bands performing each night.

Visit Las Cruces presents ¡mira! Las Cruces, a free, family-friendly festival highlighting the art and culture, cuisine, music and outdoor recreation that make the city and its surrounding communities one of a kind.
¡mira! Las Cruces invites everyone to “look” and experience all the great things the city has to offer. The festival is meant to encourage tourism from outside the region and provide a vibrant community celebration locals can be proud of. Event planners, travel writers, and social media influencers from across the country also will be in attendance.
Performance by Grupo Control is a norteño, cumbia group from Houston, Texas. Members have ties to the borderland region and their music reflects the culture and community in Las Cruces and the surrounding area. They refer to themselves as Los Reyes de la Cumbia (The Kings of Cumbia) and were founded in the late 90s. The group has 795,000 followers on Facebook with millions of videos views on the same platform.
Grupo Control will headline Visit Las Cruces’ second annual ¡mira! Las Cruces event, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
There will be additional acts starting at 2 p.m. April 27 and throughout that day. New this year is Lucha libre alongside a live DJ in the food truck fiesta area. Trick dogs will take the stage and Kids Can will expand the children’s section. Performances from local high school bands and cheer groups, dance lessons, mariachi and ballet folklorico performances return.
Be advised, the City of Las Cruces will shut down Main Street at 5 a.m. April 27, from the north roundabout to Bowman Avenue, as well as Las Cruces and Griggs avenues. The Las Cruces Farmers and Crafts Market will move to Sunday, April 28, 2024. However, many vendors will attend ¡Mira! Las Cruces April 27 for the expanded “Farmers Market Experience” lining Main Street.
You can expect all the same energy and fun from last year (x2) because this year, we went BIGGER.
¡Mira! Las Cruces is meant to highlight the city’s art and culture, cuisine, outdoor recreation, and awe-inspiring sights and sounds.

EL PASO, Texas – Fans can get their first look at the 2024 UTEP football team, led by new head coach Scotty Walden, at the Miners’ Orange & Blue Game on Saturday, April 20 at 10 am in the Sun Bowl. The Orange & Blue Game is sponsored by Speaking Rock.
The Orange & Blue game will be followed by the 2024 edition of the UTEP Athletics “Garage Sale,” featuring thousands of official team apparel items.
Admission to the Orange & Blue Game is $5. Fans must have a game ticket to access the Garage Sale, which will immediately follow the Orange & Blue Game at approximately 1 pm in the Sun Bowl concourse.
“I’m really excited to show our fans and alumni how hard this team has been working behind the scenes!” Walden said. “We are going to have fun and show Miner fans our new brand of football. We will draft teams and expect a highly competitive game.”
All ticket sales will support the UTEP Football Gridiron Club. Funds raised through the Gridiron Club are used to complement the annual operating budget for UTEP Football.

The production will feature richly detailed, hand-painted sets as well as over 150 radiant costumes that bring fresh representation to this timeless classic.
World Ballet Company’s signature program, World Ballet Series presents the most beloved and iconic ballets of our time in cities across the country. Driven by the belief that ballet is for everyone, performances appeal to newcomers and seasoned ballet goers alike. The company attracts many international artists and is composed of renowned professional dancers representing over ten countries.
To date, World Ballet Series has travelled to more than 280 cities reaching an audience of more than 250,000, many of whom are first time attendees to a ballet.
The El Paso Symphony Orchestra (EPSO) is currently celebrating its 93rd Anniversary Season. Established in the 1930’s, it is the oldest performing arts organization in El Paso and the longest continuously running symphony orchestra in the state of Texas. EPSO has received both national and international recognition and continues to represent the El Paso region with pride and distinction.
In May 2013, EPSO announced Bohuslav Rattay as its new Music Director of the El Paso Symphony Orchestra, the 7th in its history.
EPSO is the largest employer for the arts in the region and continues to be recognized for its superior artistic quality bringing accolades to El Paso.

Celebrate with us on Saturday 6th April by flying a kite against the backdrop of these time-honored mountains. Since time immemorial, the Greater Gila has been the homeland of the Chiricahua Apache people, who call it Nde Benah.
Gather up your family and friends and come to Glenwood and join us for the 18th Whitewater Mesa Fun Kite Flying Picnic. In 2023 we were joined by189 people and many smiles as the pandemic eased. This is an outdoor event in plenty of wind. There is plenty of space to celebrate the wind without fences to tangle your kite strings, and room to park for your tailgate picnic. While you are here and for a completely different experience, walk one or all six of the labyrinths and a maze across the road at Whitewater Mesa Labyrinths. For the fifth time we are sanctioned by the American Kitefliers Association so have joined the international world of kitefliers.

For over 50 years, the village of Ruidoso in the southern mountains of New Mexico has hosted riders and
enthusiasts for the Golden Aspen (Est. 1969) and AspenCash (Est. 1999) motorcycle rallies.
In 2018, Humberto and Blayne Maldonado’s father-son team, both long-time Ruidoso residents and
Golden Aspen Motorcycle Rally participants and supporters took over from former owners.
The Maldonados worked hard to continue the rally’s great tradition with new attractions and

Mighty Mujer Triathlon El Paso is an all-female event with in-person and virtual options: Super Sprint Triathlon, Sprint Triathlon, Aquabike, Bike-Run, Run/Walk, and 2 & 3-Person Relay Teams.
