SCHLITTERBAHN GALVESTON WATERPARK HOSTS SPIRIT NIGHT FOR YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS

Park hosts a night of celebration for Lemonade Day Participants in Galveston County

GALVESTON, Texas (May 9, 2024)—Schlitterbahn Galveston Waterpark is preparing for an epic celebration to support young entrepreneurs. The park will host participants who completed the Lemonade Day curriculum in Galveston County. Spirit Night at Schlitterbahn will kick off today at 5:00 p.m. to celebrate after a successful Lemonade Day event.

Spirit Night at Schlitterbahn is the award ceremony and celebration of participation in Lemonade Day within Galveston County. Lemonade Day is a fun and educational program for kids to learn how to operate their own business by conceptualizing and implementing individual lemonade stands. More than 800 children were registered to participate in Lemonade Day in the region.

“Spirit Night at Schlitterbahn Galveston is a way we support young people in the community,” said General Manager Rick Belhumeur. “It’s about believing in their potential to change the world and empowering them to turn their dreams into reality.”

This BAHNtastic night will kick off with kid-friendly games, snacks, dancing and an appearance from the beloved Schlitterbahn mascot, Schatze. During the event, active participants of the program who completed the “business results” page from the curriculum will receive tickets to the award-winning waterpark for the 2024 season.

Awards will be presented at Spirit Night by the Galveston Chamber of Commerce for exceptional participation in categories such as “Business of the Year,” “Fan Favorite” and “Most Creative Stand.” During this time, 15 individual awards will be presented.

Schlitterbahn Galveston has partnered with the Galveston Chamber of Commerce since 2012 to encourage youth, ages five to 18, to register for the event and complete the associated curriculum. Schlitterbahn is committed to encouraging initiative and innovation among young people.
