Low hands high clubhead

Low hands high clubhead

You don’t have to reach too high to achieve an ideal position at the top of your swing. But most golfers try to swing their hands as high as possible on the backswing because they equate “high hands” with increased power.
Flexible golfers tend to get their hands “up,” and there are players on the PGA Tour such as John Daly, Bubba Watson and Phil Mickelson who have very high hands. However, I’m convinced that most golfers would benefit greatly from what I call “low hands, high clubhead.”

TICK TALK – Pet lovers win a few battles, but ticks winning the war

ATLANTA — Spot a flea or two on your dog or cat, and the reaction is likely to be a slight shudder and a mental note to check the calendar to see if it’s time for the monthly application of a few magic drops between the shoulder blades.
But spot a tick or two on your pet, and the reaction is more likely to be a string of swear words, or even a scream.
There’s something about those nasty eight-legged pests that evokes a visceral reaction and does more than trigger a desire for parasite control:

KIDS TIRE EASILY AS THEY PROGRESS THROUGH PUBERTY

Posted on 19. Aug, 2010 by admin.

QUESTION: My thirteen-year-old daughter has become increasingly lazy in the past couple of years. She lies around the house and will sleep half a day on Saturday. She complains about being tired a lot. Is this typical of early adolescence? How should I deal with it?
DR. DOBSON: It is not uncommon for boys and girls to experience fatigue during the years of puberty. Their physical resources are being invested in a rapid growth process during that time, leaving less energy for other activities. This period doesn’t last very long and is usually followed by the most energetic time of life.

Don’t let life get you down … just open your closet and throw some color on. How about Lipstick Red? Purple Orchid? Living Coral? Blue Lagoon? These are the new hues touted by the color authorities at Pantone, a color forecasting company, and by fashion designers hoping that we’ll all get in a much brighter mood when fall rolls around.

When Will the Violence End in Juarez?

When Will the Violence End in Juarez?

Posted on 19. Aug, 2010 by admin.

For reporters and others who cover the news in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, it’s the eternal question, something that’s asked of us every day.
When will the violence end? Although we try to cover the news as well as we can, it becomes increasingly difficult when your news day starts with car bombings, threats by delinquents, shots fired from guns with high potency, intimidation by governmental structures so that the public won’t become aware of their ineptitude and their corruption.

Bullseye! Montoya hits the mark with long-sought win at Watkins Glen

Bullseye! Montoya hits the mark with long-sought win at Watkins Glen

Posted on 13. Aug, 2010 by admin.

There are few Sprint Cup driver-crew chief combos that needed a win any more than Juan Pablo Montoya and Brian Pattie, who got that victory on Sunday at Watkins Glen International. It was Montoya’s second as a Cup driver and Pattie’s first ever in NASCAR’s elite division. And it came after the two had very public disagreements over the outcomes of the two previous races.
In the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the No. 42 team dominated the race only to lose to teammate Jamie McMurray, who took two tires to Montoya’s four and held on for the win.

Rock Solid: Health Problems Haven’t Stopped Bret Michaels

Keeping busy is easy for self-described “passion-aholic” Bret Michaels. Staying alive has been more of a challenge for this veteran rock star turned TV-fueled pop-culture sensation (“Celebrity Apprentice,” VH1′s “Rock of Love With Bret Michaels”). Indeed, his multiple near-death experiences this year only seemed to slow him down momentarily before he sprang — well, limped — back into action.

By: Rose Bennett Gilbert Q: Our sons can no longer share a room — the high schooler really needs a quiet place to study. So, we are converting the den to a bedroom for the 8-year-old and will move the bunk bed in there for him. The problem is, the room left to the older [...]

Animal Prints – Call of the Wild Child

Animal Prints – Call of the Wild Child

Posted on 13. Aug, 2010 by admin.

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Throw in a few leaping leopards, pulsing pythons and zippy zebras, and you’ve got an animal menagerie that is creating a fashion jungle out there this fall.

The cats haven’t been howling as much as they have on this season’s runways, since legendary fashion editor extraordinaire Diana Vreeland pushed the animal prints of a young Yves Saint Laurent. Vreeland was a big fan of animal prints — she not only adopted them as her own uniform, but she used them liberally when decorating her own home. The print that can truly be called a classic has now found its way into stylish wardrobes everywhere, young and old. Animal-print diapers, anyone?
