EL PASO, TEXAS –– The El Paso Transportation Authority (ETA) is pleased to announce that its fixed route service – ETA Transit – and its ADA Paratransit Service – ETA Access – are now available to residents of El Paso County, including Horizon City, Village of Vinton, City of San Elizario, Town of Clint, Town of Anthony, as well as unincorporated areas such as Fabens, Montana Vista, and Tornillo. Applications are now open for
ADA Paratransit Service.
Applications in both English and Spanish can be downloaded from the ETA website at elpasotransportationauthority.org/access. ETA’s ADA Paratransit Plan was developed by the El Paso Area Transportation Services, Local Government Corporation (EPATS, LGC), and has received approval from the Texas Department of Transportation.
“We are committed to ensuring accessible transportation for all residents of El Paso County,” said Commissioner Carlos Leon, El Paso County Precinct 1. Commissioner Leon is also the board chairman of El Paso Area Transportation Services (EPATS), Local Government Corporation (LGC) which oversees ETA’s fixed route and paratransit services. “This new ADA Paratransit service will make a significant difference in the lives of many individuals by providing them with reliable and convenient transportation options,” Leon said.
ETA is administered by the El Paso Area Transportation Services, Local Government Corporation (EPATS, LGC). EPATS, LGC, was created to encourage and assist local municipalities to join and cooperate in providing regional public transportation solutions in El Paso County. ETA’s services will replace and work to improve on the services currently provided by El Paso County Transit.

About the El Paso Area Transportation Services (EPATS), Local Government Corporation (LGC)
The planning process that led to the formation of the El Paso Area Transportation Service (EPATS), Local Government Corporation (LGC) began in 2016 for the purpose of encouraging and assisting local units of government to join and cooperate with one another to provide and deliver regional multimodal transportation solutions and enhance mobility options for the residents of the Greater El Paso community. The report that recommended the LGC structure was published in 2018 and was formally organized by the Texas Secretary of State on November 29th, 2021. The LGC is committed to implementing a seamless regional transit system that will benefit the entire El Paso region with public transportation.
