The Hospitals of Providence Expanding Visitation Hours

EL PASO, TX – The Hospitals of Providence has announced that daily visitation hours are being expanded to allow for one visitor each day between the hours of 8am-8pm for non-COVID patients, to ensure family and friends can see their loved ones in the hospital and spend additional time with them.

“Welcoming back our visitors this past month has been a positive change for our hospitals, patients and their loved ones and a moment our team has been waiting for,” said Nicholas Tejeda, Group CEO for The Hospitals of Providence. “Being able to expand our visitation hours to allow loved ones more time to spend with their friends and family is critical to their health and recovery and uplifting to their spirit and outlook.”

The Updated Visitation policy allows for one designated visitor every day between the hours of 8am and 8pm for non-COVID patients. Visitors will be screened prior to entering the hospital, and required to wear a facemask while in the facility at all times, and sanitize their hands. Any visitor not meeting screening criteria or follow the policy will not be permitted to enter or remain in the hospital. Visitors must be 18 years and older.

Using guidance from the CDC and other health agencies, over the last year The Hospitals of Providence has developed, incorporated and refined strict protocols and processes to keep patients, staff and visitors safe.
