Aliviane recognizes organizations 60,000 Steps Towards Recovery Initiative with Wellness and Recovery Drive-Thru
El Paso, Texas – Aliviane, Inc. is celebrating the community’s initiative to join in taking 60,000 steps this week by hosting a Wellness and Recovery Drive-Thru Fair this coming Saturday.
When: November 21, 2020
Where: 1626 Medical Center 79902
Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
The virtual initiative of 60,000 Steps Towards Recovery was created to bring light to the 60,000 people that pass away due to overdoses in the United States each year.
The Wellness and Recovery Drive-Thru fair will be sharing resources from several El Paso organizations serving on mental health and substance use, which has been on the rise throughout the pandemic.
“We’re excited to launch this initiative to help our community increase their wellness and their awareness to the subject of drug overdoses that occur every year. This event will help provide much needed resources such as food, behavioral health referrals, and other services.” said Director of Marketing and Development at Aliviane, Inc. Jaime G. Mendoza.
The 60,000 Steps Towards Recovery initiative calls on the community to pledge for those who pass away, pledge for those who are struggling, pledge for those who are in the process of recovery, and pledge for the survivors.
This event is important in aiding those on their journey to recovery by increasing their resources that will support and sustain their recovery against substance use. Aliviane, Inc. is here to support the El Paso community by providing substance use and/or mental health disorder counseling and support services.
Aliviane, Inc. is an El Paso nonprofit organization providing services since 1970 and has developed a broad range of promotion, prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery programs in the areas of substance abuse, behavioral health, HIV services, and homelessness.
