25 Scholarships Awarded to Canutillo, Northwest High School 2020 Graduates
El Paso, TX, – Charlie Clark Nissan El Paso and the Canutillo Alumni Foundation for Education (CAFÉ) has awarded $25,000 in scholarships to 25 graduates from Canutillo High School and Northwest Early College, on Friday, June 19th.
The scholarships were awarded and made possible through a strong collaboration from Charlie Clark Nissan and CAFÉ, a fund under the Paso Del Norte Community Foundation, which has a monthly and annual giving membership program where members make regular automatic contributions with a credit card or through payroll deduction from Canutillo ISD employees. The foundation is also composed of other local businesses and alumni that also donate on a regular basis throughout the year. “It’s very unfortunate that this year’s graduates were unable to celebrate their accomplishment the way they had maybe planned at the beginning of this school year. We hope that this will help put a smile on their face as we continue to get though these times together,” said Luis Acosta, General Manager of Charlie Clark Nissan El Paso.
CAFÉ Member Armando Rodriguez followed up with, “We are so grateful to all of our contributors and for generous partners like Charlie Clark Nissan. We couldn’t do this without them.” For this scholarship giveaway, Charlie Clark Nissan will be donating $10,000 given that the annual golf tournament hosted by the CAFÉ foundation and the dealership had no choice but to also cancel the annual tournament due to COVID-19.
