“2019 Annual La Fe Children’s Halloween Parade”
• La Fe Preparatory School (LFPS) will hold its Annual Children’s Halloween Parade at 10 a.m., this Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019. The school’s students — all wearing their costumes — will trick or treat at the Armijo Public Library, the Southside Senior Center, and throughout La Fe’s South El Paso campus from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
• The Pre-K through Sixth-grade students will visit the La Fe Central Clinic, the La Fe Child and Adolescent Wellness Center’s pediatric-care unit, and the La Fe Culture and Technology Center. Each of these facilities is within two-blocks of the LFPS. La Fe’s nurses, doctors, social workers, artists, and other staff members will welcome the children with Halloween treats and decor. Later in the school day, at 1 p.m., the children will take part in a costume contest at the LFPS.
•The LFPS is a public, dual-language immersion charter school based in the heart of El Paso’s historic Segundo Barrio. Most of the school’s 250 students come from low-income South El Paso families. The school offers its Pre-K through Sixth-grade students a thematic-unit based curriculum that focuses on arts, culture, and technology. Parents of the school’s children also receive access to the La Fe South El Paso Campus’ adult-education and computer literacy resources.
•The La Fe Preparatory School is a nonprofit organization and an affiliate of Centro De Salud Familiar La Fe, Inc., an award-winning and nationally recognized Federally Qualified Health Center.
