Be a part of history as Viva! El Paso returns to the McKelligon Canyon Amphitheatre, Celebrating 40 Years!
Four hundred years of history will come to life as told through song and dance in El Paso’s own outdoor spectacular musical pageant – it’s an experience not to be missed! The Franklin Mountains provide a naturally beautiful backdrop for Viva! El Paso, performed live in the McKelligon Canyon Amphitheatre every Friday and Saturday at 8 PM night starting June 16. The July 21 and 22 performances will be performed in Spanish.
Through the efforts of the Destination El Paso, El Paso Community Foundation and the University of Texas at El Paso. The show was created in 1978 by Hector Serrano and it would be a shame for this long standing sun city tradition to die out. This year Chuck Gordon who is currently an associate professor of theater at UTEP will serve as Directors duties for VIVA El Paso.
So if you have never been to a show then now is the perfect time to experience an El Paso tradition that takes you through this part of the southwest’s rich history and traditions.
