Code Compliance Officers Tracking Parking Violations for Holiday Season
As the time for holiday gatherings nears, the City of El Paso Environmental Services Department would like to remind the public of common residential parking code violations.
· Parking on the wrong side of the street
· Parking on sidewalks
· Parking in front of a driveway
· Parking on easements
· Parking within 30 feet of a stop sign
· Parking within 15 feet of a fire hydrant
In addition, be mindful of the following:
Vehicles shall not be parked in the front or side yard of a home unless the parking surfacing is composed of concrete, asphalt or another comparable dust-free surface.
Parking more than one commercial vehicle on a residential property is prohibited. Oversized commercial vehicles parked or stored in residential areas should not exceed two tons capacity, 26 feet in length, 9 feet in height, and 7-foot-8 inches in width.
Violations of Municipal City Code may result in citations and/or fines of up to $225. Individuals can report violations by calling 3-1-1.
