New statistics show that alcohol-related fatalities in Texas increased last summer and during the Labor Day weekend. In 2012, the Labor Day holiday period in Texas resulted in 330 alcohol-related traffic crashes, resulting in 19 fatalities. During that same time in 2011, there were eight fatalities.
