Free VIN Etching and Free HEAT Registrations

The El Paso County Auto Burglary & Theft Prevention Task Force and Northeast Regional Command Explorers have teamed up with Lowe’s Home Improvement (4531 Trans Mountain Rd.) to help make El Paso an even safer place to own a vehicle. We will be offering free to the public: VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) Etching and H.E.A.T. Registrations (Help End Auto Theft) between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2013.

Even with VIN Etching, H.E.A.T. registrations, alarms, etc. there is still no 100% way to completely safeguard your vehicle from a thief, but by using all of these devices and services and remembering to lock your car, putting your valuables out of sight and taking your keys, make it hard on the Thief and reduce your risks of falling victim to a thief.
