VIN ETCHING AND HEAT REGISTRATION EVENT

Date/Time:       Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Location:          430 E. Redd Rd. (Lowe’s Home Improvement)

The El Paso Police Department’s Auto Theft Task Force and The Westside Regional Command Police Explorers will team up with Lowe’s Home Improvement at 430 E. Redd Rd to offer FREE VIN ETCHING and H.E.A.T. Registrations.  This is a minimum $200.00 Value.  VIN Etching is the process of permanently etching the Vehicle’s Identification Number (VIN) into the glass of the vehicle.

This process makes the vehicle less valuable to a thief, as the parts become more difficult to sell.  Also, some insurance companies will offer up to a 10% discount on your theft coverage for having VIN Etching.  By registering your vehicle in the Texas H.E.A.T. Program, you are authorizing Law-Enforcement Officials in the State of Texas to Stop Your Car and verify the ownership between the Hours of 1AM-5AM, or anytime your vehicle is crossing over an International Boundary from Texas to Mexico.
