While many issues and events are going on around the world it seems as almost everyone in the world is looking forward to Apple’s event in San Francisco today. Apple is set to unveil new tech toys including the much anticipated “iPhone 5”.
The technology giant always attracts attention but after last years iPhone 4s which did not see much improvements over the iPhone 4 people are itching for the new model which rumors say will have a larger screen, faster processor, better camera, new iOS 6, new casing, new dock connector, new earbuds and much more.
When it comes to rumors there has been an abundance of them, a new iPad mini has been mentioned along with new and improved iPod Touch that includes different colors, bigger screen and different form factor.
While all eyes are on the iPhone 5 and industry insiders saying that this iPhone will be the best selling not many people will be upgrading. Many people who already own an iPhone and specifically purchased an iPhone 4s will be stuck in a predicament. The iPhone 4s was released almost a year ago and people who purchased this model were tied to a 2-year contract this means that those people wanting to upgrade will have to pay up to $649 just to get there hands on the new model. Still there are a lot of Apple devotees that will spend the money to have the latest.

7 million Mountain Lion upgrades have been sold and is one of the best and fastest selling OS’s around. The current Mac’s have been a hit and the Macbook Pro with Retina display is the #1 selling notebook in the US.
The iPad is one of the best and fastest selling tablets around selling at a fast rate 17 million iPad sold April-June. More iPads have been sold then PC manufactures have sold their PC’s. iPad accounts for 91% of web traffic for tablets and holds a 68% share of tablet sales.

IPHONE UPDATE:
The first iPhone was released in 2007 every year Apple has put out a new one and today the iPhone 5 is released.
iPhone 5 is made of glass and aluminum the back is not glass as before. 18% thinner then before. 20% lighter. 4″ screen retina display. 5th row for icons. It’s designed to fit perfect in your hand.
“Ultrafast Wireless” LTE is now included! LTE us capable of up to 100mbs. (good news for El Pasoans, AT&T has said LTE should be available by the end of this year.) Dual band wifi with up to 150mbs download. New processor A6, 2x faster then the 4s. apps launch faster.
Battery Life is exceeded the 4s.
Camera has a new dynamic low light mode, sapphire crystal, precision lens alignment. image processor to reduce noise and includes a smart filter. The camera will take better low light photos. Panorama mode is also included.
Shared photostreams is also a new feature.
Video is 1080p and you can take pics while taking a video. FaceTime is now HD and the front camera is now 720p.
Three microphones are now standard front, back and bottom for better voice recognition and noise cancellation.
The current connector has been used for the last 9 years and now the new connector has changed it’s called “Lightning” all digital cable, 80% smaller. A new adapter will be out to connect old devices with the old connector.
iPhone 5 will come in Black and White. The white has a aluminum back. The black has black backing.
iWork apps all redone as well as Garage band and iMovie.

iOS 6 UPDATE:
The new OS was talked about before and includes new Map app which is totally redone and does not use Google anymore. Navigation, directions via Siri, 3D buildings, Info cards for points of interest provided by Yelp.
Safari is new and includes a full screen mode, ICloud tabs are also a new feature to share tabs from your desktop to iPhone or iPad.
New Mail app with a few new features.
Siri can now launch apps and give you a lot more info such as sports scores.

iTunes and iPods:
iTunes is completely redone across all iDevices and Mac’s and will come out when iOS 6 comes out.
