On Thursday December 1, 2011 (World Aids Day), Plum City Lounge will turn (RED) for the evening! The Border AIDS Partnership, MOD Creative Group and Plum City Lounge have teamed together for a phenomenal event to celebrate World AIDS Day through art, fashion and music! Art & Fashion for Life is a 1st annual event and is expecting attendance from 400-600 supporters throughout the evening.
The Border AIDS Partnership (BAP) is one of more than 30 community partnerships in the U.S. affiliated with the National AIDS Fund, an organization that promotes leadership and generates resources for effective community responses to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Since 1996, the Border AIDS partnership has distributed, in the form of effective grants, more than $1.5 million to support innovative HIV prevention programs. Belvedere Vodka Product RED donates 50% of sales to support Aids awareness in Africa, with the support of celebrities like Usher Raymond, and will be supporting this event in the Sun City. Local artists have donated pieces for the silent art auction that will be held from 6-8pm. MOD Creative Group and Plum City Lounge are proud to be hosting this event and have high hopes that a new awareness of AIDS will arise between our young professional community here on the border. Crystal Bocanegra of MOD Creative Group knows that in order to get our young professional community involved in philanthropy and awareness is by making events fun and entertaining, which is exactly what this event will be.
Hors des houvres catered by Carnitas Queretero will be served along with complimentary signature (RED) Belvedere Vodka cocktails from 6:00 – 8:00 pm while supporters browse the art that is up for auction. 100% of proceeds from the silent art auction will be donated to the Border Aids Partnership. The fashion runway will light-up at 8:30 and again at midnight by stores: Ella Blu, Hommework Boutique & Dillard’s Sunland Park. The evening will be full of entertainment starting off with the humorous Joey Cradio from 104.3 FM hosting with live performances by Desert Eagle Productions dance studio & the very popular Diamond will have a special live performance as well! The 1st 100 guests will be greeted with a silver quilted re-usable gift bag filled with goodies, and these will be at a first come, first serve basis. Tab-Care will be setting up shop outside of Plum City Lounge offering free HIV testing, a $60.00 savings.
The event tickets are being sold in advance starting November 1, 2011 at all Carnitas Queretero locations, Ella Blu and Hommework for a donated amount of $15.00. All proceeds will be benefiting The Border AIDS Partnership.
