Sierra Providence East – 4th annual Cancer Awareness Community Event

Sierra Providence East held their 4^th annual Cancer Awareness Community Event this past Friday, September 30^th.  The main event was a mile walk around the east-side hospital created to raise Breast Cancer awareness. The march was led by the 4-27^th Air Defense battalion from Fort Bliss and the Del Valle High School Marching Band. The 4-27^th had several of their artillery pieces on public display, including howitzers and Paladin tanks. Further, Lt. Commander Moretti used the opportunity to publicly promote several soldiers in rank.  Sierra Providence also held various health seminars throughout the day and held a health fair inside the lobby that included free mammograms, blood pressure and skin cancer testing.  The event kicks off a month of events to promote National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
