WHY: Multi-platinum recording artist Billy Ray Cyrus’ new band BROTHER CLYDE will soon visit Fort Bliss and perform a 90-minute USO concert for soldiers of the Fourth Brigade, First Armored Division returning home from Iraq. Cyrus will debut music from BROTHER CLYDE’s self-titled debut album and they will also sign autographs, pose for photos and extend his heartfelt gratitude to troops and their families. The show is free and open to all military ID holders.
This is Cyrus’ second USO tour. In December 2009, Cyrus accompanied the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen on a seven-day, three-country USO holiday tour. He was joined by comedian Dave Attell, world-renowned tennis coach Nick Bollettieri and tennis player Anna Kournikova.
