Nobody profits from the violence in Juarez, says El Paso Realtor
Posted on 12. Mar, 2010 by admin.
El Paso realtor Juan Uribe warns that as long as school children continue buying drugs from Mexico, they are financing the cartels. “By paying anywhere from $40 to $100 for marijuana and other drugs, they are financing the cartels and helping to create the deadly violence Juarez, Mexico, and in other parts of the Republic.”
The war that’s being waged between battling cartels has impacted heavily on the once peaceful community. Estimates are that as many as 4,700 Juarenses have been killed in the last two years because of the war being waged by the Vicente Carrillo Fuentes gang against that of Joaquin “Chapo” Guzman. The two groups are fighting for control of the lucrative drug corridor between Ciudad Juarez and El Paso, a corridor that leads further inland to the United States, where drugs generate many more riches.

On more than a few occasions I was on all of those at the same time. I’m not the (expletive) Encyclopaedia Britannica. … What you read here is what dribbled out of the jelly I call my brain when I asked it for my life story. Nothing more, nothing less.”

Halter problems? Try a harness
Posted on 05. Mar, 2010 by admin.
Q: I’ve heard that head halters can cause serious injuries if used incorrectly. A too-abrupt tug could jerk a dog’s head, causing neck or spinal injuries, couldn’t it? — S.T., via e-mail
A: Anything’s possible, which is why I don’t recommend using a head halter with one of those long, reel-type leashes. The force of a running dog hitting the end of a 30-foot line does have the potential to cause injury.

WHILE SOME MIGHT THINK ADHD IS OVERDIAGNOSED, IT IS REAL
Posted on 05. Mar, 2010 by admin.
QUESTION: I’ve heard that ADHD is controversial and that it may not even exist. You obviously disagree and believe that ADHD does exist.
DR. DOBSON: Yes, I disagree, although the disorder has become faddish and tends to be overdiagnosed. But when a child actually has this problem, I assure you that his or her parents and teachers don’t have to be convinced.
